Page 1 of R1 philips DVD 711 hack probs

Last week I returned from the USA with a philips DVD 711, with the intention of hacking to compliment my existng R1 DVD collection. I was going to using the DVD 750 available on this site, but now have two problems. does the 750 hack make the player code free or does it allow R2 to become R1? I want the opposite. I stupidly left the remote in the USA, so now I have only a allforone4 digital, can I use just this to carry out the hack and enter the number squence?? help please and before you ask why it was £100 new and boxed from Best Buy

okay I have done Alans advise and found the multi hack answer, but what about the lost remote, can I use the one4all and then reprogram another learning remote to hold the play and digit keys or ???

You could try simulating the number buttons by using the codes on Allen Verth`s site. (http://www.electrouk.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk). The codes are on button 3 of the remote navigation on his page.

I assume that once your all 4 one has been set up you can just press the magic button and enter the code 0539 to get the -------------`s up then try pressing the magic button again and typing 034 to emulate your original remotes number 2 button. you`ll probably have to do this for each number in the code (using allen chart). I`m not sure if this will work but it`s worth a go.

once you have set up the remote using 0539 or 539...most of the functions of the original remote will now be stored in the ONEFORALL...

any which aren`t can be programmed (check you manual)..using the three digit codes on my site........

you wont have to press MAGIC and then the code, each time you want to use a function....you will be able to use the ONEFORALL as a true replacement for your missing remote....
