Page 1 of LG3200E OWNER GOING BALD

Can anybody help im looking for a hack for my LG3200E player which has the filmware version 1.0.

I`ve tried the old "314159" so many times now that i have pulled all my hair out in frustration.

PLEASE ANY BODY WITH THE KNOW HOW PLEASE PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY !!!

The firmware version 1 doesn`t have the hack. But if you phone LG and tell them you have a problem playing some disks like "The Matrix" or "dinosaur" they will update the software for you. Or some LG dealers can update the software for you as they have a unit for doing this.

But like every thing else they will charge.

Thanks for the help, at least i can relax now and save the rest of my hair.

How do i know what version of firmware i have, and is there anyway of updating it without paying??

alex, if your player is still under warrenty contact LG direct and they will swop your player IF you say you can`t play a certain DVD like Toy Story Bonus disc or Dinosaur. If your firmware is V1.0 then they should swop the player complete with an updated one. They don`t send an engineer out to do it.

if you go to this site www.choosefirst.co.uk it will tell you how to find out what firmware you have, think menu 12 ?!?!?

If your using the AIWA hack....... Try pressing the stop button before
the pause at the start of the hack, then the 314159 etc etc.

I had the same problem by not using the STOP button at the start.

Also after going through the steps switch the machine onto standby for approx 1 minute (This may have been my problem all along) and hopefully yer in there !! All you need is a region 1 disc to try it.
