Page 1 of Hitach dv-p305e

I`ve tried to follow the steps for making this player multiregion, but when I come to the step where I shall press the repeat butten on the remote, nothing seems to happen. Anybody know what to do???

Don`t worry, it`s perfectly normal.

Nothing actually appears on the screen until you`ve pressed the 5th digit of the five digit number you`re supposed to enter.

Once you`ve done this, the region number (02 or whatever) should appear at the top left hand corner.

It all depends on the firmware version. If the player was made prior to August 2000 then the remote hack will not work and must be chipped.
