Hello,

I have recently took my player (Technics SCDV150) into a panasonic test to be chipped.

Instead they are going to use software to rewrite the players programme. Is this what is called a firmware update?

When the software has been rewritten will it allow me to change the region of the player manually so that i can get around RCE DVD`s

the method used does not rewrite the firmware and does not allow region selection but should be RCE compatible
