I am looking for a firmware upgrade hack that wil improve the problem that I am experiencing for my player in the fact that it keeps pausing and suffering from sound drop out on mp3 disks. Also I have seen Richer sounds selling firmware disks for the playr for £19.95 how can they be doing this when you can download it for free from www.cyberhome-help.de/firmwareupdate-englishphp4

perhaps they are going to sell us cans of fresh air next

What is your current firmware? But most importantly this doesn`t sound like a firmware problem, its either the mp3 disc or your dvd player has developed a fault, in which case, take it back and get a new one.

I purchased an ADM 512 from Richer Sounds a few weeks ago. I had a similar problem in that mp3s kept skipping.

I updated the firmware to version 9.8 from the website you mention, and this has solved the problem.

Have you had any other problems with your 512? I have also recently purchased one of these. It has already been replaced once, the first one froze every now and again, then after 2 weeks the picture jumbled, stuttered and there was no sound. The replacement is overheating, Richer Sounds have offered to replace it again, swap it for another brand of player or I can have a cash refund. Have I just been unlucky? This player has everything that I need, good picture and sound, plays mp3,cdr/cdrw, vcd and is multi-region and macrovision free with the 9.8 firmware. Any feedback on this player would be welcome, so that I can decide what to do.
