Page 1 of Region Hack wanted for Audiovox 1500 Portable DVD

Hi folks,
I have just bought an Audiovox DVD-1500 portable DVD player. I knew it was Region 1 but can I hack it to region independant (I`m in Region 2)?

I have lots of Region 1 DVDs but as you know its a pain.

My dad bought one of these in the US and I have been looking for a hack/chip solution for it without much luck. Did you ever find a hack for it?

Hi Tim,
I am in the same situation as you are. I did buy an Audiovox Portable DVD Player in the US and at that time not knowing that there is region codes on portables as well. Since I do reside in Germany, code 1 does not do too good for me either.

However, assuming you have gotten help on this issue on your own matter, I would kindly ask you to share this information with me which woukd enable me to play any code or at least region code 2 DVD`s on this player. Please reply on the following e-mail: rotilom.sualc[at]ed.enilno-t
