Page 1 of Hitachi dv-p305e region hack chip

Just received my chip from www.dvdchips.co.uk ,it arrived with no instruction or an invoice just the chip in an envelope. Not very professional! But it was petty easy to fit, after looking at the instruction on they Internet site. It would have been nice to have the four wires already soldered on to the chip. They must make some good profit on these chips (cost £20). Anyway the good news it works!! That’s the main thing, so I am happy.

We try to keep the costs down to a bare minimum ... instructions are provided online and when you order by credit card you are provided with an invoice from ccnow .... looks like good profit on the face of it but there is a great deal of development costs involved with each model and a very small number of customers .... we have sold a total of 2 of these particular chips one of which must have been to you ....

would this same chip work in the dv-p505e

I doubt it the Hitachi 305 is a samsung 511 clone.
The 505 is an exclusive hitachi model.
