Page 1 of TECHNIKA DVP 1012 (TESCOS) multiregion code needed ,please can you help ????

Please can you help me to change my technika portable dvd to multi region ? does anyone know the code ? I believe the Tevion 7012 is the same player.

The previous models, the Technika DVP1011 and Tevion DVP7011 respectively, could be hacked with the Audiovox D1708PK player hack.

Give it a try.


1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the Setup button on your remote control
3. Press the Right button on your remote control
4. Press the Right button on your remote control
5. Press the Right button on your remote control
6. Press the 9 button on your remote control
7. Press the 6 button on your remote control
8. Press the 5 button on your remote control
9. Press the 3 button on your remote control
10. Using the Up and Down buttons on your remote control, change the region to 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback
11. Press the Setup button on your remote control

If there is a Helpline number on the manual try giving them a ring. Check out the Tevion 7012 post and you`ll see the trouble we`re having with them. I tried them again the other night but still no luck. Hopefully the Tesco helpline may be more forthcoming.....
For the record, I argued with them that nowhere in the Tevion 7012 manual does it state that it is a Region 2 only player (does the Technika look the same??)....but they still wouldn`t back down.... >:(

There is no contact info at all in the manual. Rang Tescos but keep being directed to different departments and no one able to help. I don`t know if the Tevion model looks the same , but was able to get as far as the region screen, using the 9 7 3 5 code, but unable to change the region.

yeah could do with a hack myself,plays everything xcept :( xvid

Does play XVID, ;) I think MPEG4 capable but certainly not multiregion... :( .
