Page 1 of HELP 4 A TARGA DVD PLAYER .. PLEASE

does anyone know what letters u have to put in once u have hacked a targa dvd, ( as in for england u use GB) BUT I NEED TO KNOW WJAT TO PUT IN FOR A REAGION 1 DVD :/
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED ,,, THANKS

If you are not looking for a hack...just the country for a Region 1 DVD then that is usually U.S.A (United States) or Canada ...See this page for Region Code Map & List of Countries covered by each Region Code.

its a targa DP.5100X .
and it only gives u the choice of 2 letters i have tried us (for america and ca for canada but still saying check regional code)

Are you sure the Region Hack has been applied correctly?

Did you check the Hack info on this page?

As it appears a sofware type upgrade is required for this Model to be made Region Free ...have you applied this update?.

....Not sure what the Incorrect region code message is on the Targa.....or it could be an RCE ( Region Code Enhanced) disk and it could be the error for this....if this is the case then you may need to change the Player to Region 1 only to play the Disk....then back to Region Free for any others.

But as you can see from the Map on previous Post there are only a couple of Countries covered by Region 1

of course if there are only two spaces for letters ...it could be numbers it is after ...maybe 01 may work..

nah im afraid only letters come up, it becoming annoying now..lol but thanks for ur help anyway

It appears you need a Software Update ( on an update disk) to make your player Region Free.

the details of how to make an update disk are on that page ...have a look!!!
