Page 1 of Sony RDR GX210 - Multi Region Firmware?

I can go onto Ebay and buy a CD with firmware on it that makes this DVDR multiregion.

Soooooo presumably I can find this firmware somewhere on the net.

Anyone know where??

Obviously look under the Sony entries, there are many helpfull posts on there.

You will find codes to programme different items like a One For All Remote or similar programming device to enable Multi Region on some Sony items.The newer models can usually be Hacked via these methods.

Not sure that a CD firmware hack actually works.Sony`s usually require Remote codes for Multi Region, although I could be mistaken just be very carefull before you part with any cash for such an item....positive feedbacks can be false.

It seems that unlike all other Sony DVD recorders, the GX210 is not genuine Sony, but is a re-badged LG recorder. This means that it does not respond to the usual Sony hack, but does need to be modded with a CD. Go here: www.home.no/trsolhei/ and download the GX210 zipfile.

I`m not sure what you do with the file that you extract from the zipfile, though. It doesn`t seem to be an iso image, so I guess that you just write it to the root directory of a CD.
