Using Remote Control Navigate to System Info ( Just Highlight it do Not Enter it)
On Remote Control Press Press 1 1 0 1

A Region Set Up Screen Will Appear

On Remote Control Press 0 (Zero ) For Region Fee or 1~6 For Region Specific
On Remote Control Press Enter
On Remote Control Press Exit or Set Up

ive not tried the dvd recorder yet but the video recording quality is ok
