Hi

I bought a Sony DVPNS15 DVD Player from argos, it isn`t listed in the region hacks list will the instructions for other Sony dvd players listed work?

The Codes Covered are Common To Most Sony Players ...Especially the Newer Ones ...but a lot of the Older Players can be Hacked using the Codes also

Infact Most Sony Players with the Prefix Starting DVP NS Can Be Hacked with the Codes...And Just about 100% of R2 Models

One thing I can Confirm for Definate is that NO Sony Player or Recorder Can be Hacked with the Handset supplied with the Player.

This is nonsense.
You don`t have to use a chipping company for Sonys, Panasonics, most JVCs and Toshibas.
I found someone on ebay who can unlock these.
I went through a seller called REMOVED BY MODERATORS on ebay who for a nominal fee will give you a personal service and provide unlock instructions for individual players you ask about .
I had a Sony and a Panasonic that I was previously told needed an internal alteration costing a packet and he gave me simple to follow instructions to unlock it without anything as complicated and expensive as that provided by these chipping companies.
I think it cost £2.99 and considering the effort he puts in it is well worth every penny.
All you have to do is ask him which DVD player you want unlocked and he will tell you whether he can do it for you.
Has hundreds of satisfied customers, too.
I thought it was all too good to be true. But I can tell you it was totally excellent.

That is Correct you do Not Need to use a "Chipping Company"

The Suggestion to Use a "Chipping Company" is for those who Choose To Pay !!

You cannot Hack genuine Sony Items with the Handset Supplied with the Player this is a Fact NOT nonsense.

You can pay mwill96 the £2.99 if you choose to But you will be told exactly what I have told you ,or just given the Service codes that are freely available on the Links on My post

Unless he is prepared to send you a Remote with the Service codes in it and in this case it will be good Value ...But I doubt that.
