Samsung HT-THQ25 Hack required..

snowwaz (Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 18th November 2006, 18:31

Hi people...

I have the above HT-THQ25 made by Samsung, but when trying to play any back-up disc`s i get a prohibited error message on screen. The unit is only a couple of months old and if there is a problem i will be taking it back. It`s a really nice unit being a combined DVD and home cinema setup...

Any help really appreciated...

Cheers

:-)

Snowwaz

This is not a Fault with your Player

Unfortunately it appears is a Common Problem / Complaint with ALL the Samsung HT-Q Series Of Players

Also if you need the Multi Region Hack ...Here it is

1. Remove Disk from Tray.
2. Switch Off Player
3. Wait 30 Seconds, Then Reconnect Mains.
4. Turn On player with Remote Control. Wait for player to Finish Loading and Display `No Disc`.
5. Press Enter on Remote Control. (There will be No On-Screen Response.)
6. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 on the remote. (There will be No On-screen Response.)
7. Press Enter on the Remote Control. Player will Automatically Turn Off.
8. Turn Player On.
9. Open Tray
10.Close tray.
11.Turn Player Off then On Again.
12.Player is Now Region Free.

Hope this Helps

I have tried the provided hack, but it doesn`t seem to work. I am a bit gutted as I have amassed a few backup and other region coded DVDs.

Is it the media ?

Any help will be welcomed.

Hi,

Is it the same for HT x250? I get the same issues. Some work some do not, even if it is same discs that I use

Is there a cure, or do I have to copy my whole collection??...gutted! Ive paid big money for this expecting it to be better that a DVD player from Asda for 25 quid, that does play all my copies!!

??
