Heard Blu-ray DVDs aren`t Region coded help required???

Hi There

I have just ordered my PS3 ready for when its launched. I was reading through my DVD Review magazine and it says that Blu-ray DVDs aren`t region coded. Can anybody tell me if this is true? Does anyone own a Blu-ray DVD that can clarify this matter for me?

Your help in this matter would be appreciated?

I`ve just read that although manufacturers CAN make blu-ray discs region free - it`s up to them. So same as DVD`s really.
