There is no known handset hack for the RV-31, hpwever it can either be chipped or better re-programmed with a copy of the engineer`s service disc on DVD-R media. Contact me with regard to your message.

Do you think that hack for dvp s-335 will be good for dvp s-435? I think they`ve only changed the design...

I cannot help you with rv31. Still, can you help me with my dvp s-435?

Hi Steve

I have a copy of the engineers disc and have erased two DVD-RV31. The disc does work on the SC-HT70.

Thanks

Steve

Hi DWButler or Steve,

I have the Pioneer XV-DV55 and my friend has a Panasonic DVD-RV31. How do I get my hands on a copy of the engineers dvd rom that you have, for the RV31? and do you have a similar thing for the pioneer? I the pioneer hackable, or can I get it chipped?

Pioneer XV-DV55 (aka NS-DV55) can be upgraded via a reflash solution (not a DVD-R service disc unfortunately). There is an engineer`s service port located at the back of the head unit.

As far as I know, none of the dealers sell the DVD-R service disc to end-users, but some companies can rent the disc to you, others can perform the service for you, it only takes a few seconds and can be done while you wait.

Neither the Pioneer nor the Panasonic machines are remote hackable. As we are not allowed to advertise in here, please use a good search engine such as Yahoo.co.uk and search for something like "dvd upgrades" or "multi region dvd" and you should find a reputable dealer.

P.S. All the Panasonic machines are covered by the DVD-R set of service discs, from the lowly A-100 to the mighty RA-71 and LA-95 portable, including all models and clones in between.
