Page 1 of I have a hack for the JVC XV-515 models & want to verify...

Does anyone else have hacks for this player so that I can compare?

Just to gain confidence in the Internet, before I cut wires in my DVD player and invalidate the warranty!!

I have a URL that clearly details how to make it multi-region, and it seems quite straight forward: a simple cut of a wire and a quick password and there we go!

I just want to hear it from more than one source before I try.

it`s ok,you can try it! this is the only way to hack this model without use a mod.kit. if the player will not play all discs after this, then you need the kit. anyway,you can`t distroy the player by this way.

I don`t mind trying it, but I don`t mind buying the chip either - it`s just convenience I suppose.

mac.-off :NO! even the mod.chip can`t disable macrovision in this model.
wait for the dvd recordable player...
