Page 1 of phillips dvd hack problem~ DISPLAY STAYS AS "NO DISC"

Tried hack code 085 after initialising new URC 7560 remote using 0539 code and proving the new universal oneforall remote operates player.

1. then pressed magic key, inserted 085 code after dvd button blinked twice.
2. Display did not change remained showing" NO DISC".
3. I pressed in 12 digit code , heard beeps and followed rest of hack sequence just in case.

But dvd751 machine will not play region 1 at all.

can anyone advise?

youve done it wrong!.....

make sure you can control the dvd using the remote...(put it on standby using the oneforall then back on again)

Press MAGIC once DO NOT HOLD..then key 085

the dashes will appear..

Thanx a million, My dvd now works with the hack, plays region 1 & 2.

Anyone else need sequence of hack then follow the philips hack on this hack forum. I purchased a oneforall remote handset from currys for £35.00 or so.

Please ensure that once the remote is intialised using 0539 code that you turn off the dvd player using initialised remote. When you turn it back on, only press magic button once. The display then shows the 11 dashes.

The hack code can then be inserted and play pressed. Voila.....

I too was having problems hacking my Philips (612S), but your instructions worked!

Now all I need to do is get hold of a region 1 disc :-)
