Page 1 of Argos PVS3377 - Hack help please

been given one of these as a gift for my daughter for use in the car... first impressions very good piece of kit for the money...

Out of the box supports:

Region 2 DVD
DVD-R/+R
CD-R/CD-RW

cannot find a hack for making it multi-region anyone know of one... also cannot see who the maker is?

I`ve heard a rumour that some of the Argos units share the same multi region hacks as some Wharfdale branded DVD players.
The hack below apparently works for some Wharfdale ones, so it has to be worth a shot for your Argos model:

Simply have the disc tray on your player open and press 0,1,2,3 on your DVD remote, the player is set to play multi region discs.

Be helpful for other site visitors if you post below if it works or not :)

unfortunately that one doesn`t work... any other suggestions?

I`ve been trying to find it`s original make and model number - other than just Argos Value. From these 2 links, I think it was either a Power Voice System or a Venturer:

I don`t really know if that gets us any nearer to finding a region code for the Argos Value PVS 3377, but I`d really like to play R1 DVDs on mine.

tried the known venturer hacks on here with no success... :(
