Page 1 of LG DVD-3200E Hack

I have tried and tried to make my DVD a multi region by using the remote control hack and it doesn`t work. Can anybody help me? After putting the code in, it`s suppose to display code but it doesn`t, no matter how fast or slow that I do it.

same for me, having a nightmare with it!

So does anybody know how we can sort it out. I can`t believe that we have the only players that don`t work..!!

I take it this is the hack you tried.

Power on the player with no disk in the drive
Press "PAUSE" on the remote
Enter "3 1 4 1 5 9" on the remote (the word COdE appears on the display)
Enter "0" on the remote (0 = All Regions, 1 = Region 1, 2 = Region 2, etc.)
Press "PAUSE" on the remote
Power the player off and then back on

If you are having trouble getting the hack to work, try pressing "STOP" on the remote before you press "PAUSE" for the first time.

Quite often people forget to turn off the power then on again but there are earlier players that the hack will not work on.

I have tried this and it still doesn`t work, So I have to gather that it isn`t going to work on my machine then?

If you check when your 3200 was made or if you got it after about June 2000 it should have a late enough firmware for the hack to work. It is possable to "lock the hack" by previous attempts so it might help to check the version of your firmware which will reset some of your machine perameters to it`s default value:

Press "SETUP" button on the remote
Select TV Aspect
Place the cursor on 16:9 wide
Enter "1 3 9 7 1 3 9" on the remote
Press "ENTER" on the remote
You will now get a disply of your machine data (region will always show 2)
Press "SETUP" to clear the information once read

If your firmware is later than V1.0 the multiregion hack should work but it will not work on V1.0

That is great, I must be the most unlucky person ever. I had to go and buy one that didn`t work with the hack..
