Try http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks

It`s worth trying other Philips hacks from the HDR series

Try this: -
Press home, arrow down to `settings`, press OK, arrow down to `system`
Press 5, 0, 1, 8, 0, OK 8)

Maybe the menu system has been updated to make the old hack impossible to administer?

Just got one of these 3700`s (with £30 off at Comet to match their web price - done in whispers, nudge nudge say no more etc..) but the region hack suggested requires a menu system that doesn`t seem to be matched by the actual one the machine uses.

`Home` takes you to a series of options but none of them is Settings apart from `General Settings`

Choosing that there is no `System` option at all and none of the others seems to allow the code entry at least as far as I can tell.

Looks as if they have got rid of it.

(Good news though maybe off-topic, as well as the price, is that it is dead quiet, you can`t hear the fan or anything and is clearly top notch machinery - though the menu system is not exactly user-friendly. Should have hired an ex-Apple software guy for the user interface maybe..).
