Page 1 of RC6 infa red code? How do I send it to my player with my OFA remote?

I have just purchased a one for all 4 digital remote and I have configured it to my philips 762 dvd player. But I can`t get the 11 digits on screen to hack it. On this site it says to send the infa red code RC6 to the player, how do i do this? Could someone please help.

Configure your 1-4all-4 to your philips, by entering 0539 your player should come on. press the magic and enter 085, you will see the dashes
on display.

This code that ur supposed to put in to mulitiregion the player..... do you HAVE to have an all for 1 remote to hack the dvd player? or is there any other way? I dont quite understand this RC6 code - i dont know if it`ll mess anything up
If that is the only way where can I get the remote from?
Also is there any failproof way of getting all the settings back to the factory ones. Some people have suggested a few but then people have complained they dont work!
