Page 1 of Someone please help me, i`m puzzled

I have got a philips 762 dvd player and I have just purchased a one for all digital 4 remote control to hack the player to make it multi region. I have entered the 0539 code and pressed magic to store it, then when I press 085 nothing happens. It says on the instructions that 11 blank spaces should show up to enter the hacking code. How do I get round this problem? Has anyone else hacked one of these players? If so could you please give me the info on how you do it. The remote works the player perfectly but I only brought it so I could hack it. Please help me.

when you configure the remote make sure it can switch on/off the player

if so switch player on and on the remote press magic button then let it go of button and press in the number 085, you should now see the lines on the player to enter the code
