this opens secret settings menu offering regions 0-6.
(0 for region free)

To convert this player to Multi-Region
1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the buttons 8, 8, 0 and 0, in order and one at a time on your remote control
3. Now press either 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2, etc, or 9 for Region Free on your remote control
4. Press the Open button on your remote control to close

when you configure the remote make sure it can switch on/off the player

if so switch player on and on the remote press magic button then let it go of button and press in the number 085, you should now see the lines on the player to enter the code
