Page 1 of Multi Region hack for the new schneider 856

just got a new dvd player from asda. The 856 looks just like the naiko one from Macro, cud even have bin made in the same factory it just dusnt like the naiko hack can anyone tell it me or give me sum guidence as to were to find it cheers.

This runs on the same hack as the Pacfic models.

Open tray, type in 8421. A region select screen will appear. Now Press enter until desired region appears, or press until REGION ALL is displayed. Now close tray. Easy as that mate.

Quick question bud. Are there lip sync problems? I have the 855 and am thinking of returning it under their "3 year warranty" deal but am hesitant to do this if the same lip sync problems are still there. Have you noticed any problems mate?

I`m thinking the same thing BigP. I have a 855 and the lip sync has got progressively worse, so I too am seriously considering taking it back. It`s a shame really because apart from that the machine has done everything else I expected of it.

One more thing though...I got the upgrade disc from Schneider after about a month after purchasing the player, did the upgrade and to be honest that`s when my problem really started!

well ive only had it a day mate an there seems to be no problems as of yet. The picture froze once but that was because of a dirty disc ive exchanged mine for the 855 just because it has all the connections on the back e.g. optical out. The only thing ive noticed it that it seems to have been made a bit cheaper because th draw movement isnt as smooth an stuff like that but all in all im pretty happy with it ill keep u posted on any problems i have tho mate

sorry guys i know im a pain. i wanna get by the macro problem just wonderin if i cud do it through the video out or the s-video out ports.

Just to Update you on the player ive got ive still had no problems with the lip sync on it but ive found that wen im fast forward in it sumtimes freezes an jumps chapters. It reelly doesnt have the quality the 855 had but i did have lip sync probems with the 855 so i dont no wots better

Has anyone identified a macro disable for the 856? The 855 region hack works but not the macro hack. Just got this player which does everything I expected but this. Any ideas anyone? Cheers!
