It`s definitely OK, and to return it to Region 2 only, do the hack again, and put " 2 " in for the number code! :o)
And applause for old Dukey... still plodding along with his Hitachi..:)

Of course it`s a budget player, Dukey me old friend, but it has the fetures and performance of the mid-range players....and for the price, I`d have to say rivaling the top-end!
OK, so it doesn`t do resume play after a disc is ejected, it doesn`t have condition memory etc., but these features have no interest to me.
It does have very high quality playback (remember I`ve tried a Pie&ear 525.. I`d rate them equal), it does have superb audio quality, and it does have the capability to apparently play any disc thrown at it!!
And for the layer change/chapter change problem? as I said in our emails..it`s me crud telly! lol
(Guess your Hitachi telly`s gonna win on that one mate! lol)
AIWA ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

Will the Aiwa resume play if you dont eject a disc but just put it on standby? This is something my soon to be replaced Daewoo does and it`s a very useful feature. (About the only thing the Daewoo does well)
RE: AWIA DV370 DVD HACK....HELP
Seems to do on and off...not a major problem though as you can search at ONE HUNDRED TIMES normal speed!!!! lol
AIWA 370 ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

It would be interesting to know what Mpeg chip the AIWA/LG3350
uses?
The 505 uses the ESS4408F chip, which is ESS top of the range chip this year, it even has DTS decoding built into, It`s just a pity Hitachi are a bunch of lazy bastards.
JIMBO CRACK OPEN THAT AIWA NOW!
AND TELL ME DAMN YOU!
HITACHI 505 ROCKS!!!!
