Page 1 of Alba 113 VCD problem

I have the Alba 113 DVD player and am having problems trying to watch VCD`s. I have tried lots of makes of CDR`s but can only get Datasafe Original CDR`s to work. Unfortunately I have run out of these and Datasafe are not making anymore for a while due to a Trademark dispute in USA. The only Datasafe on the market are Datasafe Silver Premium. Can anybody tell me if these would work or are there any other CDR`s on the market which will work. As I mentioned I have tried Verbatim, Phillips, TDK, Precision etc and these dont work.

I have read some problems people have had and what they have said is Silver, Green and other pale colours on the writing side of the CDR will not work.

Please could somebody help!!!

Try Princo CDR`s, SVP Communications do them unbranded for about 23p a piece and many places recommend these instead of the datasafe cdr`s that have been discontinued.
