SUPER VCD PROBLEM
I have got various SVCD`s and have a problem with a few when I watch them on my Phillips DVD711 player.
The sound on a few is always around a second faster than the actors mouth movements so is out of synch by quite a bit. My friend has tried the SVCD and it works perfect on his DVD player.
Other SVCD`s play ok on my player along with every VCD I have.
Could anybody out there give me some advice.
Could it be the different versions of MPEG used when creating the SVCD disk. Is there anyway I can convert the files from SVCD to my PC and change the format before writing it to a new CDR??
Any help would be very grateful
NEW ARGOS CATALOGUE
Just looked in the new catalogue and have seen 4 DVD players that are under £100. I was wanting to get one for the bedroom but am in need of one that plays CDR`s, VCD & SVCD.
My mate has an Alba that wont play any make of CDR (tried about 10 different makes). Does anybody out there know which one will play CDR`s. The models I have seen are;
Alba DVD108, Bush DVD2023, Akai DVP3140 & Ferguson DVD400
RE: ALBA DVD 108
Its for the bedroom, I already have a DVD player & my DVD drive on my PC, but like to chill in bed
ALBA DVD 108
I was wanting to purchase a cheap DVD player and Argos as selling this DVD player for £69.99.
What I was wondering is does this DVD player support VCD and will it play CDR`s.
I previously had an Alba 113 which would only play one type of CDR which cannot be purchased now.
If this doesnt play most common makes of CDR then could somebody let me know of and DVD player in Argos that is cheap that plays them.
SAMSUNG M105 DVD PLAYER SVCD & VCD Problem
I have a Samsung M105 DVD player and it will not play and VCD`s or SVCD, I have tried every make of CDR possible including the Princo CD`s that were recommednded to me. Everybody I know is able to play CDR`s on their DVD players even the DVD players that are a little difficult worked with Princo, any ideas would be great. Do I have to use a hack on it first or is it something else

RE: alba 114 ?? is there any hack to make it play vcd`s
I have been having the same problem. I had some Datasafe Original CDR`s and these are the only ones so far that aare ciompatible and play VCD films. Unfortunately the Datasafe Original discs are no longer being produced.
If I find anything else out I will let you know, if you here anything please reply back
Alba 113 VCD problem
I have the Alba 113 DVD player and am having problems trying to watch VCD`s. I have tried lots of makes of CDR`s but can only get Datasafe Original CDR`s to work. Unfortunately I have run out of these and Datasafe are not making anymore for a while due to a Trademark dispute in USA. The only Datasafe on the market are Datasafe Silver Premium. Can anybody tell me if these would work or are there any other CDR`s on the market which will work. As I mentioned I have tried Verbatim, Phillips, TDK, Precision etc and these dont work.
I have read some problems people have had and what they have said is Silver, Green and other pale colours on the writing side of the CDR will not work.
Please could somebody help!!!
