BBC 1,2,4 BBC Choice, CBBC, CBeebies, BBC Text, BBC News 24, BBC Parliament, BBC Widescreen Sport (Wimbledon, etc)

ITV 1,2 ITN News, ITV Text

E4 was also working, although I think this has ended now.

Try forcing a channel update : Go into menu, I think it`s option 4 (setup or something : I`m doing this from memory), and then select add channels.

They`re right at the end 997 and 998 I seem to recall.

They were certainly running whilst the World Cup was on, so I suspect they`re on during Wimbledon (and Commonwealth Games ?)

Clayts, thanks for the help, the numbers were wrong, but you gave me an idea of what to look for & what to do. The channel numbers are 701 & 702 on this receiver (A Phillips ondigital box- I don't know if it's the same number with other makes of box) Anyway, thanks for the info- I just wish I had known about it during the world cup!

After the licence awards earlier this week BBC and $KY have the MUXes vacated by ITV/on.

They propose to have around 25 FTA channels eventually and *hopefully* there will be a return of subscription TV and PPV on this platform. Read more here:

Can`t see the last bit going ahead without a radical rethink of the smartcard / access system though.

... so on the free to air boxes, do you get the "red button" interactive content, or is that only available through Sky. I read that the Pace box doesn`t have digital teletext, so what about the others...

The channels you get depends on your area. We live in a` poor `digital area and only get the BBC channels. We`ve got a Pace box - don`t know about the red button, the manual doesn`t mention interactive content, what it does say is that "the colour buttons perform special functions, these will be explained on screen when they are required" whether that refers to the interactive bits, I haven`t found out yet. Also you don`t seem to be able to overide the channel scan and do it manually.
The pace box definately wins on looks though!
What`s the difference between digital and ordinary teletext?
