Best setup for watching DVD on PC ?

arbitrator (Harmless) posted this on Friday, 1st December 2000, 00:01

I would be grateful if anyone can recommend a dvd drive setup for playing movies on pc, ie is hardware decoder card better than software?
Does a pass through cable reduce picture quality?
I was looking at the creative infra but would the windvd version be just as good if used on pc?
Sorry about all the questions but i`m just a newby trying to learn as quick as poss.
System: P3 500 + voodoo3 3000 + 19" + SB Live
Cheers

Hi
I can personally recommend PowerDVD 3.0, a trial version is available at the following site:

You can use DVD Genie to make it multi region. A link for this can be found on this web site.
