Layer crossover question!!

Jonzetec (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 18th July 2002, 09:53

Hello all

Not sure if this is a software question or Hardware so i will start here!

I have noticed that my Fast & Furious (R1) is getting slower at layer crossover over the last few weeks, it seems to have happened since i got my Disc back after lending it someone.

My player is a philips 711, do you guys think we can shead some light on if its my player or disc?

Cheers

Jon

Jon, try cleaning the disk with some dvd cleaning polish, WHSmith do it for around £2.99. I had similar problems with some of my discs, it could be just a bit of dirt or even faint finger prints which might be causing your problem, it cured mine, might be worth a try as the polish also helps with light scratches.

hope this helps
tom
