Need For Speed Underground with PSX Adapter

I have purchased NFS:U off play and also and adaptor for my playsation controller, its plays joytech one.

XP reckognises it but when i play nfs with it it just does nothing apart from scroll the menus up, as if it was stuck in the up position.

Would this be because the game is to new? or do i have to do something with the game, if i manage to get into controller options, nothing is recognised!

(Dont ask me why i didnt buy it on ps2 with my big tv and surround sound! the things you do to save £5!)

Any help appreciated

Unlocking Samsung DVD on a Dell PC

Hello People, I have used my 5 changes on my PC and its now locked on region 1, i have downloaded a firmware patch put when i click it it opens a dos prompt and asks for a blank disk?

Now i was thinking this would be fairly simple, but there is major warnings everywhere about flashing drives, i have got DVD genie but that is having non of it!

Any help advive on how to unlock would be much appreciated

I have started playing CD`s through my DVD player and my VS-10 home cinema kit.

Does anyone know a good setting for music / radio through the Yamaha VS-10?

I know its usually personell preference but any suggestions would be appreciated, its on MONO Movie at the moment, which sounds ok but a bit flat.

I`m a recent PS2 purchaser and have got 007, i know this sounds bad, but on the first real mission one of the objectives is to recover the guiding thing from the safe room, i get to the safe room open it, i cant kill the blokes with the laser as Q asks so i shoot them, but there is no thingy, i kill every man and even go to the cable car, where am i going wrong, its driving me mad!!

Pc Question

Not knowing much about pc`s i thought i would try my luck with a question for you guys, you always seem to help me outh with DVD`s!

I have a pc with a QDI Legend Brillianx 1s - p61440bx, im running a pentium 2 450mhz with 64meg ram

I want to extend the ram and have 2 more slots, i hace read the booklet and it say that it runs 66/100 bus, 66 with p2 and 100 with p3, does this mean i can only put 66mhz ram in? What would happen if i put 100 in?

Also it says i can only put up to 128mb unless its 16 bit chip then it will take 256 but not an 8 chip 256?

Im even confusing myself typing this, i got the above statement from the FAQ on QDi website?

I must say peeps i think Scary movie 1 is hilarious, its goes on a bit towards thwe end but how any one cant laugh at shorty`s Tv interview and the killer hiding behind the chair!!

My 5 would be:

Airplane 2 (first one is wicked)

Under Siege (watchable but far too fake)

Cat really think of anymore, i generally can watch any film!

Layer crossover question!!

Hello all

Not sure if this is a software question or Hardware so i will start here!

I have noticed that my Fast & Furious (R1) is getting slower at layer crossover over the last few weeks, it seems to have happened since i got my Disc back after lending it someone.

My player is a philips 711, do you guys think we can shead some light on if its my player or disc?

My first purchase was Snatch, in may last year, i paid £26!!! from our price, the next day i discovered play and got American pie for £9.99.

Thank the internet cus i thought this new dvd player was going to cost me £26 per DVD!!

S-Video

Hi all, Could someone tell me what a S-Video lead is for? I have a hole for it on my tv, an hole on my video and on my DVD i think there is one on my amp too.

Everythin I buy has this yellow lead yet i dont actually know what it does!!
Could someone enlighten me!?
I have always connected through Scart for TV and DVD and Digital for amp!

I find that the DTS Movie Theatre gives better sound reproduction, Glad someone else is using the same settings!

I have got a yamaha vs-10 and have been experimenting with the setting over the last month or so and i wandered what setting was best for DD and DTS i currently use the 70mm theatre one, it gets more surround feel, is that the best one or should i use the one before that which seems not to have asmuch surround feel especially on DTS playback!

Any thoughts appreciated

How excited am I!!!!!

Have just recieved the "Package" my first step into home cinema, a yamaha vs-10!!
I have seen a thread just below about the centre speaker positioning, but im also concerned about the "Front " speaker positioning too.

In an ideal world we could put the speaker on top of the tv and the fronts next to the tv but im cant, will this make a big difference?

I can put them either side of my TV on the wall, but they will be slightly more apart than the diagrams and slightly higher, and i cant really put a Black speaker on my Silver TV! (Well i could but it would lokk wierd!)
I was going to put this under the TV/DVD/Reciever and angle it up slightly.

Is this going to make huge sound differences to 5.1 and dts??

Another Connection query (Sorry!)

Looking at the manual for the VS-10 (Yamaha) it say to connect to a DVD you use the optical cable but also mentions connecting a video cable.

Why would i need this when i connect to my tv with a scart??

Should i buy a vid cable or just stick with the optical??

Any help appreciated, im on the big order this arvo!!
