Bought one at the weekend... I haven`t used it yet, cos the lass has bloody wrapped it up and given it to santa to deliver on the 25th...GIT
So is this player OK? Reading the reviews from certain mags, it sounded great. But have I bought the right player?
And is there any truth about the rumor it won`t play much of The "Gladiator R2" discs.. Santa will also bring that disc too. SOme advice please!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers
If its the 750 and not the 750s, then your extras disc of gladiator won`t work if its R2. However there are workarounds in our articles section:

Hi
I got a 750 about a month ago and it was fine, apart from the drive being a bit noisey. I put it in a glass fronted cabinet and it was fine. Everyone was saying that the 750s was better, but as It was the same price I didn`t think there was much point changing it. However, when I heard about the Gladiator disc 2 not playing and a couple of other problem films, I decided to take it back and see if they would change it. I just said that the drive was too loud and that it crashed when playing Gladiator disc 2. As tescos are just selling them they don`t seem to ask too many questions and it was no probs changing it to a 750s. What surprised me was that the 750s has lots more extras compared to the 750. The OSD is better, there are more zoom levels, 5 more levels of slomo and twice as many speeds for ff and rw. On top of that, the gladiator disc 2 plays fine and I have had no problems with any others.
It might seem a hassle to take it back, but I`m more than glad I did.
Hope this is of some help and that it doesn`t p*ss u off too much!!
Cozmoz
Thanks for the advice Cozmoz, I have done just that. My new 750S should be with me in about a week, ordered from the tesco website.
cheers...........
Hey can any one help me change my 750 to a 750S, up here in Bradford
Tescos have the older machines. Where could i get a 750S.
RE: WoofDale DVD 750 *Dupe*
I picked up a 750s today for a family member, I was slightly concerned after reading of noisy drives on the forum but I got it home and it seems quiet, so it looks as if that problem has been rectified. Multiregioned no problems and plays all disks fine including cdr / cdrw vcd`s very impressive, but I cant help thinking its overpriced, had a black player not been requested im sure I could have got a better player for less in silver.
Still gets a thumbs up from me :)
