Does anyone have any problems with SVCD`s and their Wharfie ?
A friend lent me Spiderman and I couldn`t get it to work, it just says LOAD and nothing happens, has anyone else had this problem or knows of a solution ?
RE: Wharfdale and SVCD`s - help !
I also have the same problem (albeit a different SVCD!)
It plays about the first 2 seconds and then pauses itself,
I click play and it only progresses 1 frame,
Anyone know of a way to play SVCD`s on the Wharf??????
Cheers
If it`s a Wharfedale M5, the player won`t play silvers, sorry :-(
Mine`s the 750 (without the "S", the one with the DTS logo on the front (3rd edition I think))
Cheers
I remember my mates had problems with SVCD`s if they were not encoded at the standard bit rate. You may need to re-convert then?
Have a look here for more info

My Wharfie is a M5 and it has no trouble with VCD`s and most other SVCDs, just this one so far !!!
Cheers
If it`s the M5, it`ll be down to the authoring of aforementioned silver, not your player, I`m afraid.
RE: Wharfdale and SVCD`s - help !
well there`s a turn up cause silvers work on my M5 and spiderman works perfectly. There is a problem with the 750 series cause the same disks freeze on my sister 750. Like the man said try remastering, it may also be a crap disk!

I`m experimenting with CD-RWs on my Wharf 750S. I`ve managed to create SVCDs no problem, but have found that if the Bit-rate is not a Standard one, then the time counter goes funny, and sometimes even the playback. I``d also say it was the authoring, particularly if other SVCDs play okay on your system.
