Does anyone know where I can buy a sampo dvd player thats multi region and macro free in the uk?

Sadly the DVE631CF has never been made available outside of the US.

Two alternatives :

(1) Find a second hand version of the Wharfedale M5, Encore DV450, UK Afreey LD2060, Neotek DV3000/3500, Digitron DVS350/360 and then install the DVE631CF firmware on it (it`ll work fine)

(2) Go to our DVE631CF price guide and contact Gene Callahan : I`ve imported a DVE612 from him and he comes throughly recommended - you`ll need to pay him via PayPal : http://www.area450.com/thesampozone/players/dve631ripoff.htm

He will usually mark the goods up as "used" ;-)

I have banged on and on at Sampo Taiwan to get this player commissioned for a European release but there are real difficulties adding SCART functionality : bizarrely we`ve never had any problems running the firmware on players with SCART sockets...
