Venturer DVD from Tesco and DTS !!??

Darkcrusader (Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 1st September 2002, 16:48

Hi

Just got one off these it says DD only but in the setup menu is says
DD on and lists DTS as Off.

I reckon there could be a remote hack to enable DTS decoding with this deck, why else would it be listed in the setup audio menu if this is not the case.

Cheers
JJ

Wouldn`t that be for the DTS bitstream out thingy, either the optical or co-axial output, on the setup menu on my player you can select `Off` or `Raw`. I don`t think it decodes it, only sends a signal to the amp.

Sounds similar to my scan 2500. ia also has DTS in a menu when switched to "decoded out" rather than "coded out" it plays superb DTS sound on my sony home cinema system.
