Page 1 of what player do i buy ?
Hardware Forum
I want to buy a player that has 5.1 , is multi-region and costs around £200
anyone have any suggestions as to what to buy and where from.
Have a look at www.techtronics.com for some players that match your wants.
After that post them here and the people here will tell you whether they are good or bad.
Alternatively, wait for the zealots to arrive to tell you to buy an Aiwa / Scan / Lescon etc. They`re not bad machines, but you sometimes wonder why these people love them so much. I could just imagine them running around Comet shouting AIWA ROCKS!!! like a drunk ape.
Anyway, have a look at Techtronics. They are all multi region and it tells you what sound formats they support.
Actually, in case you hadn`t noticed, we Lecson owners are most certainly not zealots. Like Encore owners, we are a much more restrained group. We just get on with enjoying our DVDs.
Oh gawd, here come the terrible twins.
Aaaaargh!!!! Sorry Dukey. Ouchhhhhh! Sorry Jimbo.

Good point. How many of you Aiwa owners run around Comet shouting "Aiwa Rocks"?
The reason we love them so much is they are not "not bad" machines, but in my case, the BEST machine I have had so far AND the least expensive!!
Time you bought an Aiwa Bigfan...it wont take long before ya jump in here and shout "Aiwa Rocks" for yerself.
And on that note, the BEST player to buy sub-£200 IS the Aiwa 370!
Don`t take my word for it, have a look at my site and see what it can do, then go to a local dealer and ask for a demo!

Over to you now Duke!
AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!!!!
Bigfan,
You see, I told you that we Lecson owners are a much more restrained bunch.
And, because you asked, the reason I like my Lecson, is that the picture and sound are excellent, it has an easy multi-region hack, it comes with two year, all risks, free, insurance cover, only costs £200 and the wife`s got a Debenhams card :))))
Sorry, just a general statement. There are certainly some Aiwa zealots around here though.
That, my friend, is the understatement of the year.
No offence, Jimbo :))))
But, in their defence, it is a bloody well specified player at a very good price and seems a decent performer to boot. So you can`t blame everyone for getting excited.
