Connection help needed?

Toraz (Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 18th September 2002, 20:57

ok telewest coming next week to connect Digital tv and broadband.
i have 2 scarts on back of tv(1 standard, 1 rgb)
at present i have dvd player to the RGB scart and VCR to the other scart.
Which is the best way to connect when telewest come?
i only have 1 rgb socket on my VCR
also does the broadband cable come into the house seperately or will it run from my set-top box to my PC?
Thanks

Not much of an expert on the connections but RGB is the best for both digital and DVD - would give to your DVD player as first option.

Broadband will however will run from your cable tv lead - depending where your PC is in relation to the TV they will prob split into Y and send one to your TV and one to the broadband. It won`t go through the settop box at all and will be just a coax connector directly into the cable modem, the 2nd coax will connect to your digi box
