Help with Pioneer DV-530

stevej (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 19th December 2000, 20:08

I have just bought the above and am very pleased with it - but - I have noticed that when the player is turned off I can hear the TV channels from the video player through my amplifier (very quiet). I think what must be happening is that some TV audio must be leaking down the scart lead to the DVD player and is then being picked up by my amp. Neither the TV or video are connected to the amp.

Any ideas? Is it a fault with the video, TV or DVD or all of the above?

Thanks

Can I ask.

Do you turn the DVD player off at the machine?

Or put it on standby with the remote?

As I think if you turn it off at the machine it may cure your problem??? Then again I may be wrong
