Page 1 of Safeway Lenoxx ht 500 Help Needed....

Hello,
I am thinking of buying the lenoxx ht 500 ,can you answer me a few questions,
A have a Hitachi c28w511n tv.
If i link the lenoxx ht speakersand tv together will i be able to use the dolby 5.1 sound from the t.v WITHOUT the dvd ,(IE watch bbc 1 through the speakers)..
Also can you link a tv, lenoxx dvd, speakers and normal video recorder in line ??

Too late for the 20% off - sorry but I didn`t have chance to read this at the weekend!

Anyway, the Lenoxx DVD player has an AUX and a VCR audio input. So you can put the TV audio through the DVD player, and get surround sound from that! I haven`t tried this myself yet (due to lack of cables) but I don`t see why this won`t work!

I think you may be out of luck, I have tried a number of Safeway branches in Greater London and they were all out of stock.

ive just bought a Lenoxx HT 500 from safeway, not for the dvd player (as i have a Dansai 852, but for the home theatre system, 5.1 dolby,And i can certainly say that the lenoxx will play surround sound from the tv, video, or even satelite, as long as you connect up the audio and video jack plugs (red -white -yellow,)as it tells you in the comprehensive instructions
it even plays vcd`s svcd`s and mp3`s but it only plays region 1 or 2 i cant remember which. im looking for the hack to make it multi-region

here is the hack for the player sold through safeway on or after xmas
OPEN THE DRIVE DOOR
PRESS LANGUAGE BUTTON ONCE
PRESS RETURN 3 TIMES(not enter button dohh!!)
YOU WILL SEE REGION CODE ON SCREEN
USE UP AND DOWN ARROWS TO SELECT REGION 0
NOW PRESS ENTER TO CONFIRM
YOU ARE NOW REGION FREE
