Have you looked at the JVC AV32R25EKS ?
It`s not 100hz, but it`s a superb picture and the sound is amazing.
Unbeatable are doing it for a good price.
Have a look at the new philips 32PW9527 with pixel plus you won`t be sorry.
Thanks for the replies guys,
Anymore suggestions or comments? The reason why I kept looking at the sony cos it will go with my sony collection and i beleive it a decent TV. But it appears no one own one yet to be able to give me there comments as it a new tv set i believe
Andy you may want to look here http://www.avforums.com/ go to the television section and do a search on sony tv`s.
Amongst the threads there was one on the FQ80 where people were complaining of a loud buzz coming from the speakers.

I`d go for a Philips with Pixel Plus. We have a 9527 and the picture and geometry is excellent. I my experience, the Panasonic has an awful picture (We had a PL10 which has the same tube as the 40) and on Sony WS units, the geo is generally not good and colours seem to be off. Whilst not perfect, the Philips scores the best in my veiw - we`ve had Sony, Pansonic and Philips in the last six months - all exchanged by John Lewis. They price match, give you a five year guarantee on all TV`s and their Customer Service is outstanding
HI, Thanks guys for your reviews. I am going to go to john lewis and take a good look at all of these tv mention above and see what i prefer.
Do John lewis ie my local one is Sheffield, would they price match any online prices or just local shops. As if they were to price match that sony I mention it mean knocking of £400
No they won`t price-match online prices. Wish they would..
They do give the 5(?) year guarantee though for `free` which is usually worth around £200. If you`re not gonna buy online or a specialist place, and are going `high-street`, then without doubt get it from John Lewis.
Customer service second to none.
Ste
Yes, but John Lewis will match any shop in the UK.
I just got a 9527 for 1030 as they price matched hispek.com who have a shop in St Albans....
Main ben is you get a free 5 year warranty chucked in....
