Page 1 of DVDs that have an mp3 listing (on tv)

I want to buy a DVD that not only plays mp3`s, but shows the listing on screen (tv). Anyone know if any cheapish DVD offers it other than the Sony DVPNS305 (who call the facility an mp3 browser)?

I`m about to buy a new Philips tv, and thought a Philips dvd would be best. Same remote? Easier connections? Compatible? Or is the same make not important?

Erm I am sure that alot of players do this but I am sorry I only have experiance of one other other than the Sony. And that is the Pacific 1002 and this has onscreen browsing but dissapointingly you can only browse the songs while in stop mode, the minute you start a track the browse feature stops ???

The Schneider 857 ( Asda £90 & 3 Year guarantee ) will play mp3 and it includes a windows explorer folder type view if you have say 10 mp3 albums on 1 cd then it will show the 10 named albums as folders and then when you open a folder it will show the tracks in the folder along with any cover art work as it plays jpeg pictures as well then you scroll to tthe track you want and play , I think you can also program the tracks to play in a certain order as well but I am not 100 % sure about this , overall it seems to be a fairly decent player for the price and also plays vcd`s and svcd`s it does not matter about being a different make from your tv as it will connect same as a Phillips dvd player

Wayne, really interested in the ASDA dvd. It seems to do all I want for an mp3 player, I`ll probably use it most as a cd player. I guess all dvd players are different, how would you rate the cd/mp3 quality?

Excuse my ignorance, but could I listen thro the tv speakers OR hifi speakers?

CD and mp3 quality is ok depends on what you are connecting it up to really , you can listen through tv , hi fi or both even , the player has 5.1 channel decoder built in and also has optical and co axial digital outputs so whatever hi fi system you have there should be some way to connect the both up
