Anyone offer some advice on which of the following to go for as a first time machine...
I can get a Pioneer 350, a Philips 634 or a JVC XVS300 all for around £106.
Alternatively I can get a Panasonic RV32 or a Pioneer 454 for about £120.
Which is the best? Also, are there any particular models of these machines to go for, or avoid. I`m looking for a multi region or hackable model.
As to what DVDs they should play I`m afraid I don`t know a VCD from LSD! All I want is something trouble free and easy to use.
Thanks.
Hi tiffo,
I bought a Pioneer 350 (Multi-region) from Amazon (£109.99) as a present for my dad and it is really easy to use. THe picture and sound quality are excellent and the machine has a very good spec. I would highly recommend this one.

You can get the Philips 634 from Amazon.co.uk for £89.99 delivered. It plays CDR`s & MP3`s also. It can be made multi-region via a hack. It gets excellent reviews.
