I have PS2 and it plays region 2 DVDs ok but any other DVD it plays in Black and White. Is this my tv or my PS2. Wouldlike to know cos if PS2 will buy new DVD player. If TV then will buy a package. Thanx

I`m no expert but it sounds like your TV. I take it these are R1 DVD`s and the problem is your TV can`t handle the NTSC signal. Some one else will probably be around to correct me and send you in the right path.

The PS2 is a games console first and a DVD player 5th - don`t let anyone tell you different :-)
Why go to the expense of buying a new TV ? Personally, I`d be looking for a budget DVD player (eg Acoustic Solutions DVD321 from Richer Sounds for £60) that can convert NTSC into PAL for you, so you TV doesn`t have to.
Buying a new TV capable of handling raw NTSC for a fifth rate DVD player is certainly the wrong approach to take, mate :-)
