Pioneer 530 & 535

beale (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Monday, 1st January 2001, 21:06

I know many people on here like the Aiwa 370, but could I have some genuine feedback about the Pioneer 530 and 535 models please.

The 535 is just the same as the 530 but in black and with an optical digital out connection. Is the optical out connection worth having, (could I have dolby dig amp without it?), as I rather like the silver players!

Also, both models have DTS out, is this different to dolby digital?

Thanks

Ian Stewart

Beale,

if u just had a look through a few (maybe 2) pages of this forum, then u would have found enough info about the Pie&ears....

The 530/535 are good players, (maybe a bit noisy).
As long as your dolby digital/DTS amp has a coaxial cable input, there`s no problem choosing either of them.

There is a difference between Dolby Digital and DTS. DTS should sound a bit better then Dolby Digital... (look for reviews about it).

Hope u`re satisfied..
