This isn`tquite a dvd question but i hope that somebody will help. I have decided to buy a re-writer, mainly for photos and music. However, should i go for mt rainier software or nero and what if anything is the difference? This is confusing me. Ease of use is important.
Hi Brian, I have a laptop with a single DVD/CDRW drive and am not overly competent with PCs & software ( as many will have gathered with my postings on here!). Nero came bundled with my PC and even I can use it and have not lost one CDR yet. It`s dead easy for either copying (ahem, backing up) or compiling photo CDs and music ones too. I am sure the afficionados on this site may well have a different point of view, but for me..."It does what it says on the tin".
Good luck anyway as it`s all down to personal taste/preference.

Your writer will come with `free` burning software - probably Nero or Easy CD Creator.
Try them and see if it`s what you want..you`ve nothing to lose.
Isn`t mt rainier like being able to treat a cd like a disk drive? Just write files to it. Easy cd creator has something similar - directcd but I think each separate `session` takes up a fair bit of space as does the formatting..
