Page 1 of CRT Suppliers?

My TV has decided to go tits up and is now rather dead on the visual side of things, anyone know of a company that supply`s CRT`s to the public?

What make TV is it ?

Most reputable manufacturers will keep a stock of old and new tubes.
Sony certainly still stock tubes they made over 10 years ago.

what makes you suspect the tube?

It went with a L O U D bang, on closer inspection the cathode or gun (as my electronics tutor once termed it) has seperated from the tube :-(

Try your local shop mag rack for [ Television and Home Electronics repair ]
It does have adverts for tubes but you will need the tube code [ on a sticker ] I only have an old copy so the addresses may have changed.

In the long run it might not be worth replacing the tube as this is the most of the cost of the set and most suppliers will not sell tubes to general public if i was you count you losses and get your self a new set .
