Page 1 of samsung 709, stopped working!!!!!

Hiya, I have a samsung 709 dvd player and have a small problem that I hope somebody can help with. Using the hack I have changed the region code back to region 2 after having it set to 9 (region free), and still the same thing happens. When I put a disc in it tries to read it and after a while a message appears on screen This disc cannot be played, please check disc. I checked the pal/ntsc switch and it is set to pal. Any Ideas would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Can you hear the disc spinning in the drive when you put it in, or does it sound `dead`?

Try putting an audio CD in (original, not CD-R) and see if that plays.

i have knackerd my dvdr 1000 useing the printed hack mine seized up
it is now being repaired cost? BE careful with these hacks they do not
suit all machines
