Page 1 of doh... i dont think its working
Hardware Forum
just bought a "new" (to me at least) pioneer dvd player (dv636). it was a factory repack that i managed to get at a good price BUT...
when i power it up a message appears on the player reading "FLASH SUM". no other part of the player appears to work (the tray wont open, no signal from machine etc.)
damn .... not that good a price if the thing doesnt work eh?...
the shop will be fine about taking it back im sure, but is there anything i can do to try and get it working just now. im about to go dvd daft.
i think i should really ask the inevitable question just now, if i have to buy another model: which would you choose the toshiba sd220e or pioneer dv350?
thanks in advance for any advice
RE: doh... i dont think its working
I would stick with that player and just get a replacement.
You were unlucky and got 1% (or whatever)
Its a damn nice player
I had the same problem when i bought a 32" TV a few years back - it was replaced straight away and is stil lworking 6 years later.
i have a pioneer 454, its the 350 but with optical out, its great
