RE: TV recommendations - £450 - £500.
You`ve missed out the TV that won the group test of 28" widescreen TV`s.
The JVC AV28R25EKS
Available for just over £400 from unbeatable.
RE: TV recommendations - £450 - £500.
Check out Westy`s column, `Odeon for less`. He specifies there a JVC set for under £400.
RE: TV recommendations - £450 - £500.
The set Westy recommends is the AV28T25EK, which is the same set as I`ve mentioned minus the subwoofer, centre speaker and dolby prologic capability.
AV28T25EKS for nicam
AV28R25EKS for dolby prologic/subwoofer and centre speaker.
If you have your own surround sound system then the T25 will be fine.
Either set is a 5 star `best buy` in What video/Hifi magazine.

Copied this from one of my previous posts - its still a bloody good bargain.
Spotted this cracker on avforums (the details are below) - i went for the FX66 model as i wanted 100 hertz - also the FX66 was awarded a Best Buy rating by What Video - it also comes with 3 scarts and bags of other features. Ordered mine on thurs and arrived yesterday and its an absolute cracker, delighted with it. The only caveat is that they are Sony approved ex-demo models, but everthing came boxed and sealed and looking as good as new, but hey i paid £499 + del and spotted the same model in Dixons for £1200 + del, so not bad.

Graded /demo stock.
My brother and I both bought these TVs yesterday and this is the cheapest I have seen this TV anywhere.
They came fully boxed with remote control and had to ordered from Sony.
The deal was published in Saturday`s Scottish Daily Mail.
They have a website here, http://www.robertwhyteltd.co.uk
but this set is not on the website, you have to phone.
Saw the same set in Comet yesterday for £699-95.
