Page 1 of FAULTY Scan 2000 DVD Player

I own a Scan player, and I was very happy with it, but this `pixellation` or `blockiness` problem is really getting to me. I`ve been sending e-mails but with no luck, and phoning at international call rates is not an option. I bought it in July last year and the firmware isn`t upgradeable.

I am also very happy with my Scan 2000 player apart from lip sync
problems that affect approximately 40% of my DVD`s, most of which are region 1 disc`s.
I have E-Mailed Nelley and had no reply and suspect that my player
is not firmware upgradable.
It was bought in October and the firmware is V2510 , Main Ver 00000150.
Can anyone confirm if it is possible to upgrade this machine and whether lip sync is a common problem with other players or is it just the Scan 2000.

Firmware`s older then v164 are not upgradeable. I noticed the lip-sync was slightly out on some Region 1 discs as well, but it has got better with firmware upgrades. I`m currently using v211 and I`m happy enough.
